Information

Choosing a dog trainer, the individual who will be responsible for giving you correct, sound, educated and experienced information used to shape and influence your dog’s  attitude towards you, training as well as the actual behavioral end result, should be done with consideration and due diligence.  Certification of a dog trainer can fall under many categories. In order to ensure that the certification of a trainer is authentic and reliable, you’ll want to know that the certification is verifiable by a nationally recognized organization for the sole purpose of testing at a level of standard that has outlined the practical and scientific knowledge and ability required to be an effective professional trainer suitable for helping you give your dog the positive direction he needs.  One encounter with a trainer using “television techniques” or self taught maneuvers based on uninformed, antiquated, domination based “training”,  can damage or negatively alter your dogs emotional state forever.   I see the results in my practice often and it saddens me to know that the trusting nature of a dog has been twisted and reconstituted into fear manifested by aggression.

Give your dog the qualified, humane and caring direction he deserves; engage the service of a certified professional dog trainer from the Certification Council for Professional Pet Dog Trainers.
